Everyone remembers their first time.

Do you remember your first time?

I sure do.

I was 15. Oh, it was glorious. Round, beautiful, and glowing in the sun. It was my first time riding any ride at Disney World and I was getting ready to go inside the giant golf ball known as Spaceship Earth. Wait, what did you think I was talking about?

Spaceship Earth is the visual and thematic centerpiece of Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The geodesic dome weighs 16 million pounds and the outer “skin” of Spaceship Earth is made up of 11,324 aluminum and plastic-alloy triangles. The attraction inside Spaceship Earth presented by Siemens includes a time-travel adventure through the history of communication, showing how the spirit of innovation has moved people from the caves to the cosmos. The first time we ride a ride at Disney World sticks with you for life. It’s a seminal experience that one never forgets. Especially, when that ride takes place in Disney World’s iconic theme park, Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom was the first theme park Walt built in Florida. It mimics Disneyland and then improves on it with more area to grow and expand.

Main Street, U.S.A, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland. Even the area names sound inviting and exciting.

As I mentioned, I was 15 when I rode my first Disney ride. What about all those little ones running around the Magic Kingdom? The toddlers, tykes, and tweens. They’re not tall enough for the “big” rides and not old enough for the possibly “scary” rides. So, what are the best first time rides for kids at the Magic Kingdom? Let’s explore and find out!

Peter Pan’s Flight always has a long line at the Magic Kingdom. There’s a reason for that. It’s an awesome ride! The colors and feeling of flight on this ride will create the memory of a lifetime for your little one.

Now, there’s an interactive queue line that will take you through the story of Peter Pan, too! It’s an incredible journey through the kids rooms, flying over London, and then, it’s off to Neverland!

Once inside the ride, the colors are magnificent! Your kids will go on an adventure with Winnie the Pooh and meet characters from the 100 Acre Wood.

Mad Tea Party

The Mad Tea Party is a classic Disney ride that kids love and adults….well, adults may want to steer clear of this one if you just had lunch.

Also known as the “teacups,” this ride will take your kids on a wild, spinning ride through the world of Alice in Wonderland. Located between our last ride (Winnie the Pooh) and our next ride on the list (Tomorrowland Speedway), the Mad Tea Party rarely has a long line, so don’t waste a FastPass on this one.

Tomorrowland Speedway

What about your child’s first time driving a car? That would be the ultimate first time ride for some kids! Magic Kingdom gives you that chance with the Tomorrowland Speedway.
